Spring's finally here, so what does that mean? The teaser of sun makes me automatically think of the coming Summer. Even though I'll be outside, spending less time gaming, there's no reason I can't take my geekiness outside, too — there are a myriad geeky ice cube trays!

While I was browsing online the other day, I came across this Frozen Smiles ice cube tray, which molds ice into dentures. It had me in stitches, and I think it would be a hilarious prank to pull on a friend. Do you agree, or does this ice cube tray gross you out?

The Summer is heating up and there is no better way to cool down than with a refreshing, cold drink. Although my fridge is a newer model, it doesn't have a built in ice maker: I have to use ice cube trays to make ice. Currently I have only two trays which is problematic for entertaining, so I asked you to help me expand my collection of ice cube trays.

Should you or shouldn't you? They're your Co-Worker Confidante so I say yes — get him or her a nice gift to show your appreciation for the great company and constant laughter, at work. You two may sit in close proximity to one another, but if you're not that tight-knit, go with presents that are easy but still exciting.

There are very few universal truths, but one of them is the fact that geeks love Legos. A few months ago YumSugar introduced us to the Lego Lunchbox, which is undoubtedly the ideal carrier for any mathlete, science geek or Lego-loving kid out there, but not exactly appropriate for the adult crowd. Luckily, adults can revel in the Lego love with this LEGO Ice Brick Tray.

Some of you might use filtered water, flavored water or even coffee, but do you ever think about the shape of your ice cubes? Why stick with boring squares when you can get cats, dogs, bunnies, stars, apples, jewels, and more. These cat and dog ice cube trays are $6.99 a piece or $12.99 for both.

I went to dinner the other night with the ruggedly down-to-earth Nick (Michael Chiarello's sous chef!) who cooks restaurant style meals in his tiny kitchen at home. He gave me a great tip that I just had to share with all of you. If you live alone, or are only cooking for two, make a large batch of sauce like a red-wine lamb reduction (that was his total cheffie example, but you could do the same with tomato sauces, pesto, etc.) and freeze it in ice cube trays.

My first thought when I saw these Tetris ice cube trays was — do I have glasses big enough to play Tetris with my ice cubes? Dubbed Tetrice by Martin Zampach, these are a little more fleshed out than the Instructables version that yumsugar featured, but it's only a concept for now. Lets see, you could play a really freaking cold and low-tech version of the game, or pop 'em in a pitcher of drinks for your geeky guests, but I don't know that I'd buy these when I know I can make them.
