I would! Come to think of it, I have a gift card from Jamba Juice that I've gotta use up...

gross. think about it. they don't have kitchens on-site, so they will be trucking in the pre-made food from some central warehouse kitchen to be heated up in a "turbo-oven?" nasty.

i would try their vegan options, why not? i really like their otameal, with all of its gloppy super sweet fake fruity glory.

I think this sounds like an awesome idea - Jamba Juice always has tasty, all-natural stuff, so why not food? It'll be better than Subway or McDonald's, that's for sure.

How "natural" will this food actually be though? People hear smoothie and assume it's healthy, but sherbert is just fruity ice cream, and it's in a lot of their smoothies. The Peanut Butter Moo'd and Chocolate Moo'd aren't smoothies, they're milkshakes.

With Starbuck's move towards being more "green" I would figure Jamba Juice would go the same route. Also, Starbucks is beginning to offer gluten-free options, what will Jamba Juice do?

Food plus a smoothie would be how much then? Like $10? That seem like a lot for a quick lunch you get to go.

@AmandaonMaui: I don't know if Jamba Juice really needs to do anything to respond to what Starbucks does. I don't really feel they are in direct competition. Most people aren't deciding between a smoothie or a coffee.

I'd rather have a smoothie and eat at Tropical Smoothie Cafe where they use REAL fruit and high quality meats, cheeses, etc. Just my opinion...

Not impressed with their smoothies.....they use sherbert and concentrates....I found the smoothies at Tropical Smoothie to be far better- real fruit wins every time with me! Pre made food sounds like more of the same to me!

it is true that the word Jamba means " breaking Wind" in the African Swahili dialict. Let's hope they don't break wind with these new food items!

I agree, with roger t. Jamba Juices Smoothies are not that great. I mean they use juice as a base or sherbert for goodness sakes. If I want a smoothie, I want real fruit Not a juice! I might as well go to the local supermarket and buy a gallon of oj or apple juice.

The food being pre-made, don't know about that either. I want my food made as I order it! I have tried Tropical Smoothie Cafe and find the smoothies to be a lot tastier and the food is great. I think that Jamba is trying way to hard to keep afloat in a low economy and have yet to perfect food. They need to perfect their smoothie that they charge $5 for before they dive into food.
Just a few thoughts!

I agree with Rosie - Jamba Juice and food sounds like a scary concept. This could really backfire on them because they will lose customers who will not like pre-made food. Their stores are not built to handle a food operation. It is a lot easier for Starbuck's to add smoothies. I'm selling my Jamba shares now!!
