Although the fourth season of Hell's Kitchen doesn't begin until Tuesday, April 1, Gordon Ramsay has already begun hyping the show. This season the stakes are high and the competition is the most stressful to date for both the competitors and Ramsay. Unlike previous seasons, the wannabes are not competing to cook at some restaurant in a Vegas casino resort.

Gordon Ramsay is under fire — for the way meals are prepared in his own kitchen. The Sun posted a slideshow of dishes from coq au vin to sausage rolls to fishcakes made in mass at a production site, then transported to several of Ramsay's gastropubs.
Although the star of Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares wasn't available for comment, his spokeswoman, Jo Barnes, contended that it's "common in the business" for small dining establishments to prepare dishes offsite.

Following Gareth Gates taking the Technicolour Dreamcoat from Lee Mead's back yesterday, another West End theatre announcement was released today — that Graham Norton will star in La Cage aux Folles on the London stage. If you haven't seen the popular Hollywood movie remake The Birdcage starring Robin Williams and Nathan Lane, the story follows a gay St Tropez nightclub owner and his transvestite partner and has developed from play to musical since it was first performed in 1973. Graham will take on the role of Zaza from January 19 until April 25 next year, and said:
"I would imagine [there will be] some quite harsh reviews.

Russell Brand was at the Prince Charles Cinema in London yesterday to promote his new book Articles of Faith, which brings together his football columns for The Guardian and follows on from the first collection, Irons in the Fire. He's becoming quite the wordsmith these days, what with his autobiography, My Booky Wook, and his £1.8million two-book deal. It's always nice to have Russell back on our shores, and after the death threats he received following his MTV VMAs appearance, I expect he's happy to be home too.

The glittering temple to consumerism that is the newly opened Westfield shopping centre is all my West London-based friends are talking about. Personally I'm not really a mall girl myself, but I was excited to learn that Westfield is planning to play host to an innovative beauty bar. The new ID Backstage Beauty bar is a drop-in makeup and hair station that promises to upgrade your look to go with all those new fashion purchases.

The battle to be Ramsay's executive chef is on! Last night's episode of Hell's Kitchen was an odd mix of bimbos, bloopers, and bad tempers. It was the first time in HK history that contestants taught non-chefs how to cook.
