So on Friday I decided to enter a recipe in a food blogger's challenge entitled
Sugar High Friday #27: Chocolate By Brand. Today was the deadline for submissions and the rules of the competition state that I can make any chocolate recipe as long as I list which brand of chocolate I use. Now I'm from San Francisco, so I had to represent my hometown by choosing
Ghirardelli chocolate.

1It's more of a showcase than a contest, you'll be able to see all the participants over at David Lebovitz's website on January 26. And I'll vouch for these, nice and crisp but chewy on the inside!

7I just made these, and although they do taste delicious, mine came out more like muffin tops rather than cookies. I tried making them different sizes, and increasing the temperature. I didn't have any espresso powder, so used freshly brewed espresso. Could that have made all the difference?
