At the onset of each year, American spice company McCormick offers its prediction for the top spice combinations. When we shared the company's top picks with you last year, your vote went to the vanilla and cardamom combo. Incidentally, throughout 2008, I encountered that flavor pairing in recipes and menu items from flan to peach pie.

Last night Kenny Chesney was declared the Entertainer of the Year for the fourth year in a row at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Vegas. Garth Brooks was also back in the limelight to receive the first-ever Crystal Milestone Award for his outstanding achievements. Performer Keith Urban didn't need a trophy to make him gush.

Last night's Country Music Television Awards were more about glamor than sequins, but there was certainly still a lot of glitz and fun in the Nashville night. Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus hosted the evening which included a lot of costume changes for the starlet. Adorable little Taylor Swift took home Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, while Kellie Pickler (really!?

Take a tip from these delightful zombies — good fake blood can be tricky to make, especially since most recipes leave you with something too bright and runny that stains everything. Never fear, though, I've hunted down a recipe for fake blood that's non-toxic, won't stain skin (though it will stain clothes, so watch out), and is thick enough to apply anywhere. Plus it's super easy to make and there are only three cheap ingredients.

Breast Cancer Awareness month is still a few months away, but combating the disease shouldn't be relegated to October alone. The documentary (and accompanying book) explores the increase in breast cancer rates, emphasizing prevention over corporate think-pink campaigns.

Drew Barrymore, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Scarlett Johansson kept the party going after the premiere of He's Just Not That Into You last night in LA. Jennifers Aniston and Connolly skipped the fun, but Ginnifer and Scarlett stayed to chat with Goodwin's Big Love costar Bill Paxton. Drew Barrymore mingled with the film's fellow producer, her partner and Jimmy Fallon's wife, Nancy Jovonen.
