Last night I made an Eastern European-inspired ground sirloin stew with egg noodles, and tonight I'm going to use the leftover beef to make something on the opposite end of the spectrum! I'm craving takeout, but — inspired by my recent successes — I'm going to continue my pattern of preparing Asian foods at home.
Spice up the sirloin with the help of minced garlic, lime, and Asian fish sauce, and wake up your senses with freshly-torn basil and julienned chiles.

It's World Vegetarian Month and many people are going meat-free for their health, but others are taking their diets to a whole new level — going raw. A raw food diet consists of consuming unprocessed, preferably organic, whole, plant-based foods, at least 75 percent of which should be uncooked.
A raw-food eater might enjoy uncooked veggies, fresh and dried fruits, nuts, seeds, seaweed, soaked dried beans, young coconut milk, and sprouted seeds and breads.

For the fifth year in a row, Mississippi has the unfortunate distinction of topping the list with 32.5 percent of its adult population considered obese.

When I go with the fam to get fresh-baked bagels, I usually choose an everything bagel because I love the savory taste and interesting texture of the poppy and sesame seeds, and the onion and garlic. The company FoodShouldTasteGood has a new tortilla chip called The Works! Topped with poppy and caraway seeds, minced garlic, and onion, I knew this was something I needed to try.

Every babe loves a carnival, but this one is free of fat laden funnel cakes and cotton candy. Instead, this fare is full of nourishing bites that will fill a tiny tummy with nibbles from most parts of the food pyramid.
Boil up a pan full of pasta and add marinara sauce to the cooked noodles.

One of my favorite tapas dishes to have in Spain is grilled lettuce drizzled with olive oil. I was excited when I found this recipe because it takes that concept and turns it into a complete meal by adding grilled shrimp and grated Parmesan cheese.
To make it more authentically Spanish, I'll toss minced garlic in with the oil that's used to coat the shrimp and romaine.
