After years of midterms, finals, and all-nighters, a group of students at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania are being told they are too fat to graduate. The private college's core curriculum states that students must have a body mass index (BMI) that falls below 30 to graduate. If not, they must take steps to lose the weight by enrolling in a physical education class that meets three times a week for one semester — a requirement that has been part of the school's curriculum for the last three years.

I admit when a pal shared her crafty creation idea with me, I was worried it would result in something dangerous. However, she proudly showed off her tape measure re-creation and it looked rather recreational for her frisky feline. Many cats go crrrazy for fronds of all time so she took a tiny, retractable tape measure and taped a few bright feathers to the end.

It seems everyone is going for broke when it comes to throwing the most original baby shower for their expectant friends. Baby shaped cakes, Gucci crib shoes and champagne fountains are just a few eccentric touches that puzzle me but the one that shocks me most? Strippers.

An essay in this week's New York Times hit close to home. The author, mourning the breakup of a long-term relationship, used Facebook to keep up with what his ex was doing. It's the moment 67 percent of LilSugar readers have been waiting for — the end of Jon and Kate Plus 8. While loyal fans are saddened to see the show come to an end, others believe it's the best outcome for their children. On the series finale (airing tonight on TLC), the separated couple continues to find their way in single parenting.

Would you put Sir Rowf front and center in your home? The Royal Animal Candles ($32–$36) come in a horse, bunny and this dog — appropriately named for his regal appearance — but would your pups be happy looking eye to eye with this waxy invader? (And, definitely, don't let them take a nibble.)
Personally, I think the designs are super detailed but watching the animals melt away (on a two-hour burn time) sounds a bit sad .

Even if kickboxing or step aerobics aren't your ideal fitness experience, working out in a group can buoy your spirits and help motivate you to push yourself. That being said, occasionally there's a sub standing in for your favorite teacher and you just can't hack it. Or you try a new class, realize you're in over your head, and fear injury if you finish.
