With the weather warming up, I've turned my attention to alfresco entertaining. Last weekend, I suggested my guests and I grab our cocktails and appetizers and head out to the patio. There was a lot to carry and on my third trip back to the kitchen, I couldn't help but wonder why I don't own a stylish serving tray?

Last week I decided to make lasagna. My sausage tomato sauce was done, the cheese was grated, and the pasta ready, when I realized I don't own a large casserole dish! I ended up having to make the lasagna in two pie dishes.

Enjoying ice cream during the Summer is an American pastime. To properly relish this creamy, cool treat the right utensils are necessary. I prefer to eat ice cream from a bowl rather than the carton, so I asked you to help me find the best ice cream bowls.

I recently attended a very crowded party where the caterers ran out of clean serving glasses. When I went to order a second beer, the bartender — to my dismay — poured it into a champagne flute. I looked around the event and noticed chicly dressed PYTs sipping champagne from brandy snifters and white wine from whiskey tumblers!

What do you guys think of this interesting, wooden fruit bowl that tdamji recently bookmarked? It's made out of a single piece of birch plywood that can bend to make several different shaped bowls. According to Tdamji, it's both stylish and eco friendly at the same time!

A few days ago, YumSugar wanted to know what you thought of a set of scenic dinner plates, since then they kept coming to mind, especially while looking through the Yum Market. It seems that she's not the only one who found playful plates. While I wouldn't recommend any of these for everyday use, they would be perfect for a certain dinner or special event.

Like a true fashionista with clothes, a hostess with the mostess can never have too many appetizer serving trays. There is such a wide variety of appetizer dishes - from crostinis and cheese bites, to chips and dips - that having a bunch of different platters is a good idea. I have a few cool platters, but want to supplement my collection with some new stellar pieces.
