When it comes to the Thanksgiving table, how you dress it is often as important to the hostess as what food sits upon it. Over the years, I've seen family members fuss over table settings, switching out placemats, rethinking china sets, and shifting floral arrangements.
I admit that I'm known to fuss over my Thanksgiving table as well.

The other day, I showed you a photo of a boho-cool Scandinavian dining room that successfully mixed decorating styles and unusual objects. One of the neat features was the family's use of a simple cotton tapestry as a tablecloth. It continued the boho vibe of the room, and was also a cheap and chic alternative to a more expensive tablecloth.

Earlier this week, I asked if you accessorized with tablecloths at your home. If you haven't yet, but you're inspired to try one on for size, good news: I've rounded up some great summery tablecloths for your home. Start out with this handwoven Striped Tablecloth ($39).

This morning, a friend of mine sent me the link to this Messy tablecloth by Polish group AZE design. The plain white tablecloth is embroidered with outlines of plates, cutlery, a cheese board, serving spoons, and more. I think it would be fun to try and put dishes in the right place — except for maybe that spilled wine glass — but I don't know if I'd actually use it as my main tablecloth.

If your list contains a grandma who loves spending time in the kitchen — which is a pretty clichéd visual, so I'm going to guess that it does — then you may want to consider some of these gift ideas. For starters, you could get a few pics of your little ones — or of you! — and create a personalized, custom apron.

Wondering what to do with all of that extra party stuff you might need easy access to during the event? A space will quickly look cluttered when unused napkins, plastic cups, bottles of wine, etc. are left out.

Last week I told you about a friend who asked to borrow a sturdy, but stylish tablecloth to cover the campground's picnic table. I do not camp and have nothing to lend her, so I asked you to help me find one. You looked for a reliable, cotton, vinyl, or linen tablecloth that is fun, colorful, and outdoorsy.

Before summer ends, my pal Jessie is off on a camping trip and she needs our help! She asked to borrow a sturdy, yet stylish, tablecloth to cover the campground's picnic table during her stay at Lake Pinecrest. I do not camp and therefore don't have a campground tablecloth to lend her.
