This buttercream-frosted cake, a 14-inch replica of the globe, was created by celebrated cake designer Sylvia Weinstock. Made for Travel+Leisure's art auction, Project Globe, the cake costs $2,265 and feeds 100.
I think the cake is incredible and would love to know how it was made and how it retains the circular shape.

It came as no surprise when I learned that Virgin America was voted Best Domestic Airline by Travel and Leisure readers, and that's not just because the airline won the same award last year. The World's Best Awards survey asks participants to rate airlines in several categories, including cabin comfort, food, in-flight service, customer service, and value.
The airline has rarely fallen short in any of these areas during the countless times I've been a passenger on one of its flights.

When a location is voted the world's best city, it must be something truly special. Every year, Travel & Leisure magazine asks its readers to determine the best city in the world, and this year Udaipur, India, beat out other top cities like Cape Town, Bangkok, Buenos Aires, and Rome for the number one spot.

According to an online poll taken by Travel +Leisure magazine, Miami residents are the most attractive in the US. As someone who's visited there, I can see why! Philadelphia came in last at number 25, with New Orleans as a close runner-up.

Poor Philadelphia. In a survey conducted by Travel and Leisure, its residents were voted the least attractive people in the United States. (Philadelphians also "won" the titles of least stylish, least active, least friendly and least worldly.

Many high school graduates travel for leisure right after graduation. As soon as Model of the Week, Amy Bracco, graduated high school, she headed straight to Paris, Sydney and London strictly for business. Amy, a Walnut Creek, CA native who was discovered at a local modeling competition, had modeled during Summer and Winter vacations in Los Angeles and San Francisco, but her travels overseas allowed her to beef up her portfolio.

CN Traveler had a party last week with Mandy Moore and Lindsay Lohan and now Travel and Leisure celebrates their 35th birthday with a slew of celebrities as well. The cutest of them all, Ms Rachel Bilson.
