Lately, I've heard an increasing amount of hype around how much wine in a box has improved over the years. Like screw-cap wines, boxed wine has become more widely accepted. These zipper wine bags, designed by Beth Fuller, are an interesting way to sell and package wine. Each bag is made from organic cotton and is dyed with wine - so if you spill you'll actually be contributing to the pattern. The handle is a continuation of the zipper that holds the wine in place.

When I'm invited to a dinner, party, or bbq and don't have the time to put together a special gift for the hostess, I'll stop by my local wine shop and pick up a bottle for her to enjoy at a later date. I include a nice appreciative note and package the bottle to look pretty. If I'm in the market for a new bag, I tend to want to pair it with a new laptop sleeve. This is because realistically, it's only a matter of time before my bag (no matter if it's a laptop bag or not) becomes a transportation device for my trusty computer. So when I saw (and salivated over) the Vertical Tote ($155) on Flight 001, I immediately went on the hunt for a laptop sleeve that would match the adorable flower print on the inside lining.

There are two types of mothers: those that sit and enjoy a glass of wine while they wait for the babysitter to arrive and those who scurry around the house in a robe until the sitter comes a knockin'. Unfortunately, I fall into the latter category. In a rush to get to a dinner date the other night, I ran out of the house with my diaper bag on my shoulder rather than a sassy leather pocket purse.

The French have got it all. They have great wine, good food, haute couture, art and above all – bags of style! Knowing this, it's hardly surprising that the printed t-shirt is this Summer paying hommage to the country.
