According to a recent article about female bullies in the workplace, only 40 percent of workplace bullies are women, but their targets are usually other women. (Male bullies, according to researchers, target men and women equally.)
Peggy Klaus, an executive coach in Berkeley, CA, calls women bullying other women in the workforce "the pink elephant" in the room, particularly, she says, because "[we] are supposed to be the nurturers and the supporters.”

I'm always talking about starting a Lunch Club — note to Sugar HQ: I'll do it someday, honest — where I organize lunch outings to various tasty eateries. However, I've never thought of starting a Lunch Club where people take turns making food for each other.
I recently discovered a Cooking Light article spotlighting the folks at Room and Board.

Usually when I write about control it is in relationship to a Pilates move, but researchers on job burnout study control as well. A new CareerBuilder survey asked people to fess up about what they call workplace taboos: If they'd ever kissed a co-worker, drank alcoholic beverages on the job, or spread rumors about colleagues. Office politics can weigh heavily on the dynamics of friendships fostered in the workplace. Depending on your roles at the company, competition and jealousy over a promotion can jeopardize friendly ties with a co-worker — even if you thought you were BFFs.
As a good rule of thumb, it's always best to approach friendships at the office cautiously, but in many cases, co-workers easily become fast friends since they have so much in common.

Ricky Gervais is trying his hand at yet another workplace-centered TV comedy! The soon-to-be Golden Globes host and scribe behind The Office is lending his talents to PhoneShop, which follows a guy working at a phone store at the mall. Mundane jobs are Gervais's specialty, so it's bound to be hilarious — but for now, it's only set to air in the UK.
